Early life

Mickey Cohen was born on September 4, 1913, into an Orthodox Jewish family living in the Jewish Brownsville section of Brooklyn. [...]

Later years

In 1950, Cohen was investigated along with numerous other underworld figures by a U.S. Senate committee known as the Kefauver Commission.

As a result of this investigation, Cohen was convicted of tax evasion in June 1951 and sentenced to prison for four years.

In Ben Hecht's autobiography, A Child of the Century, he says that Cohen called him to say he wanted to do his part in helping Hecht raise money to support Menachem Begin's Irgun in its fight for Israel's independence.

Cohen called together a parlor meeting of people who did business with him and had Hecht address them on the importance of the cause. Each person was then asked to call out a sum he would donate. In some cases, Cohen told a donor "that's not enough" and they upped the pledge. [...]

In 1961, Cohen was again convicted of tax evasion and sent to Alcatraz. He was the only prisoner ever bailed out of Alcatraz; his bond was signed by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren.

The Peculiar Similarities between 9-11 and the Assassination of RFK

The murder of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (RFK), the leading presidential candidate when he was shot in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968, profoundly changed American history.

The RFK murder case, in which a Palestinian immigrant was blamed, has several similarities with the assassination of the senator's brother, President John F. Kennedy in 1963, and the terrorist attacks of 9-11 three decades later. [...]

Sen. Robert F. Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel

shortly before he was ushered into the pantry where he was shot.

The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles was owned by Junius Myer Schine, father-in-law of Lester Crown, son of Henry Crown (born Krinsky), the largest shareholder of General Dynamics, a leading defense contractor.

Henry Crown was a high-level Zionist agent who sent an aircraft manufacturing plant to Israel in the early 1950s in violation of U.S. law.  The factory he sent to Israel illegally became the original Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) plant.  The Crown family is also connected to both Kennedy assassinations and the 9-11 cover-up.

( See: "JFK and 9-11: Henry Crown and the Cover-Ups of Our Time" )

Under Myer Schine's ownership the Ambassador Hotel hosted the gambling operations of Mickey Cohen, the West Coast lieutenant of Jewish mob boss Meyer Lansky.

U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy had been involved in the prosecution of Cohen in which he was convicted for tax evasion and sent to Alcatraz in 1961.

Who arranged for Kennedy to use the Ambassador Hotel?

The Ambassador Hotel had been Mickey Cohen's base of operations in the late 1940's when he became friends with the Jewish terrorist leader Menachem Begin who was hiding out in Los Angeles after a terrorist bombing in Palestine.

The Jewish gangster Mickey Cohen is not only connected to the Ambassador Hotel and the Santa Anita Racetrack, where Sirhan worked and gambled on the horses.

Most notably, Cohen is also closely connected to Menachem Begin, former head of the terrorist gang, the Irgun, who was in position to take advantage of his relationship with Cohen to infiltrate his criminal network, which would include being able to set up Sirhan the Palestinian to be the Manchurian Candidate fall guy in the assassination of Bobby Kennedy.  How neat. Among his wins in 1961 was the prosecution of infamous Los Angeles bookmaking king Mickey Cohen, convicted of felony tax evasion, and convictions of mobsters or Mob associates Frankie Carbo, Frank “Blinky” Palermo, John Battaglia, Isadore Blumenfield, John J. Felice, Nicholas Sitrone, Felix Ferina, Anthony Cardella, Anthony Biase, Benjamin Dranow and Abe Minker. RFK’s department also indicted three police officials, an attorney and the operator of an illegal gambling operation in Newport, Kentucky. His office late that year also won 11 convictions in the famed “French Connection” international heroin-smuggling case in New York.
: Marilyn Monroe, JFK & RFK Conspiracy Theories - What Was the Role of Jewish Mobster Mickey Cohen?

Celebrity Gangster Mickey Cohen has been linked to both Kennedy Assassinations and Marilyn Monroe's death. Exhaustive research has explored the Mafia's role in the Kennedy assassinations, but Hollywood's Celebrity Gangster by Brad Lewis brings together for the first time the alleged role of the Jewish Mob and Mickey Cohen.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 12, 2007

A new book by a celebrity biographer finally tells the story of Celebrity Gangster Mickey Cohen, the west coast leader for Jewish mob boss Meyer Lansky, boxer, bodyguard, blackmailer, pimp, bookie czar, gambler, haberdasher, restaurateur, racketeer, thief, and Robin Hoodlum to the poor and dispossessed.

"Hollywood's Celebrity Gangster, The Incredible Life and Times of Mickey Cohen" (ISBN: 1-929631-65-0), by Brad Lewis, examines the mixed morality life of the Los Angeles-based mobster who reigned from the 1930s until his death in 1976.

Some of the facts featured in "Hollywood's Celebrity Gangster" include:

  • How Mickey Cohen made extortion sex tapes of Marilyn Monroe.
  • Cohen's introduction of Monroe to JFK through Sinatra and Peter Lawford.
  • The Jewish mob's concerns about JFK's Israeli Politics.
  • Mickey Cohen, JFK, and Frank Sinatra dated some of the same women.
  • Why did Cohen meet regularly with Menachem Begin and attorney Melvin Belli?
  • How RFK threatened Mickey Cohen when he was naked in a prison shower.
  • RFK assassin Sirhan Sirhan worked for television star Desi Arnaz and at the Santa Anita racetrack, one of Cohen's gambling strongholds.
  • Lee Harvey Oswald's assassin Jack Ruby (Rubinstein) idolized Cohen and dated his girlfriend Candy Barr.
  • Cohen's links to Carlos Marcello, David Ferrie, Jim Braden, and Al Gruber.
  • How Mickey Cohen ran a gambling operation in the Ambassador Hotel, site of the RFK assassination.

"But Bobby Kennedy, this snotty little guy, questioned like an out-and-out punk, and I don't mean this with any animosity " -- Mickey Cohen.

"Mickey Cohen would have objected to this book's publication," said the author, Brad Lewis. "His blackmail targets included Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, and department store heir Alfred Bloomingdale. The most social of any mobster in history, Mickey bridged the gap between Hollywood, Las Vegas, and Washington. Mickey had the ear of many powerful people, including William Randolph Hearst, Richard Nixon, Reverend Billy Graham, and Washington Post columnist Drew Pearson. Enemies like Robert Kennedy were relentless in trying to topple Mickey."

Wikipedia : Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy

On June 5, 1968, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was mortally wounded shortly after midnight at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.

Earlier that evening, the 42-year-old junior senator from New York was declared the winner in the South Dakota and California presidential primaries in the 1968 election.

He was pronounced dead at 1:44 a.m. PDT on June 6, about 26 hours after he had been shot.[3]

Following dual victories in the California and South Dakota primary elections for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, Senator Kennedy spoke to journalists and campaign workers at a live televised celebration from the stage of his headquarters at the Ambassador Hotel.

Shortly after leaving the podium and exiting through a kitchen hallway, he was mortally wounded by multiple shots fired from a handgun.

Kennedy died in the Good Samaritan Hospital 26 hours later.

The shooter was 24-year-old Sirhan Sirhan. In 1969, Sirhan was convicted of murdering the senator and sentenced to death. His sentence was commuted to life in prison in 1972.

A freelance newspaper reporter recorded the shooting on audio tape, and the aftermath was captured on film.[4]
